Sven’s Comfort Shoes is owned by Marie Rivers, who is also a member of the Chisago City Council. With Sven’s Clogs, you’re not just buying any old shoe, you’re buying a gorgeous, hand-made clog, sandal or boot.
With such a small team of people, Sven’s turns out more handmade clogs a year than you might believe. From customers from the rich and famous, to the person who works long hours on their feet and need a perfectly comfortable shoe, Sven’s caters to everyone.
Our very first featured business of the week is Sven’s Comfort Shoes in Chisago City. I was privileged to be allowed to see how Marie and her team makes her clogs first hand. Every element of the clog is thought of – its beauty, style, and what kind of wooden base is best for the shoe. Each piece is hand cut, hand sewn, and hand tooled, and everything from the buckle to the strap, the heel, to the front and sides of the clog are closely examined, and examined with such a thorough a quality control exam, it would make the military proud. Sven’s shoes aren’t just handmade, but they are of an incredible quality as well.
Sven’s was originally owned by Sven Carlsson, who owned one of the largest clog making companies in Scandinavia and Europe. When he retired, Marie, who had trained under him for years and had developed a passion and enthusiasm for the business, bought the company from him.
It’s a privilege for the community that Sven’s Comfort Shoes aren’t just international – they’re local too. Their lovely store is located just off Highway 8, and with a 5 foot garden gnome doing yard work on her incredible garden, it’s hard to miss. You can also purchase other items in their store, including top name shoes from other manufacturers, beautiful, unique jewelry, and quality local crafts and food.
Sven’s also offers free hot dog nights to the community, so if you haven’t yet, you really should stop on by this incredible store.

It entirely depends on what your site is. I will not allow site spam. If it’s a legitimate business in the area, and if you’re really willing to TRADE links, sure thing.
