The first Halo is the reason I picked up an Xbox. I would always get excited when a new Halo would come out. Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 are all great games. Then Halo Wars came out… Halo Wars is a RTS (Real-Time Strategy) game, like Age of Empires,Warcraft 3 or Starcraft.
I could not bring myself to buy this one. It just didn’t seem right to play Halo as a RTS and that kind of put me off of the Halo games for a bit. The only downside of that was I missed out on Halo 3: ODST. Halo 3: ODST was a filler between Halo 3 and Halo Reach. ODST was started as a side project but got just big enough to be a full game release. So maybe it was a good thing I missed it because now it shouldn’t be much longer till its a Platinum hit and half the price!
Halo: Reach is a full Halo game. It is the Prequel to the Halo saga. You play as a member of the Noble Team fighting the Covenant on the planet Reach, the last line of defense before Earth. You will engage in the largest scale battles ever seen in the Halo Saga. You will also get new weapons, vehicles and abilities to play with in Halo: Reach and a smarter AI to fight against. Play alone or with some friends in the cooperative assault. Personalize and customize your Spartan in both campaign and multiplayer modes. It has a ton of new online gaming options and earn credits from everything you do in all game modes that can be spent in the Armory to unlock additional upgrades.
“In addition the Halo: Reach, the Limited Edition comes with game disc housed in recovered ONI “black box,” an exclusive Elite armor set for use in multiplayer modes and an artifact bag containing Dr. Halsey’s personal journal and other classified documents and effects that unravel long held secrets from the Halo universe.”

In addition to the game disc and the complete contents of the Limited Edition, the Legendary Edition includes a Noble Team statue expertly crafted by the artisans at McFarlane Toys. In addition to this, the statute is placed in UNSC-themed custom packaging exclusive and the game includes an exclusive, multiplayer Spartan armor effect – a flaming helmet! “

Would I recommend Halo: Reach? Yes. As long as you are a Halo fan or even if your not, and just like first person shooters this will be a must have. And one of the biggest perks for me is that there will be no Flood in Halo: Reach.
The Flood was one of the only aspects of the Halo Saga that I did not care for.
