We all knew it was coming and now we know when. Now we just have to wait until December!
I am a huge fan of Blizzard Entertainment, I’ve been playing their games since 1994. Back then, I had no idea they would turn into the entertainment giant they are now. World of Warcraft just hit the 12 million player mark. And yes I am one of the 12 million – I have been since the game was released. Of all the games I’ve played I always come back to WoW.
There are a few things in this one that I am looking forward to the most. I am looking forward to playing Tauren Paladins. That’s going to take some time to get used to, but I’m really looking forward to it. Also playing a goblin. The Alliance has always had gnomes and now the horde gets goblins. Should be a blast! Another thing I’m looking forward to is the massive change coming to Azeroth. I understand that everything is going to be changed. I can’t wait to make a goblin and running him through all the new terrain and new quests. It looks like Archaeology could be pretty worth while. I have no idea how it works but it looks like there will be new pets that came from it and maybe even some new mounts as well. I’m also interested to see the new underwater zone and those mounts. That could either be really fun or a huge pain.
Some of the things I’m not looking forward to so much are:
- Relearning and respecting all my characters.
- All the classes have been redone.
- Level capping and gearing all my characters again.
Of course I’m not looking forward to tons of people trying to do all the same quests you are and all at the same time. Oh and then there will be all the bugs when the game first comes out and all the patches to fix all the bugs, and… the inevitable server crashes. Definitely not looking forward to that. But hey, after the first month or so it will be back to business as usual.
Two new races to play: Goblins (Horde) and the Worgens (Alliance).
Level Cap from 80 to 85.
Classic Zones Remade.
New High-Level Zones.
More Raid content.
New race and class combination.
Guild advancement.
Archaeology.
Flying mounts in Azeroth.
And a lot more…
Would I recommend World of Warcraft: Cataclysm? Yes I would. I really don’t see how, with 12 million players, that this game will not end up being the game of the year. With this expansion being the biggest change to the game that Blizzard has made since the original release, I can’t see how it would not be worth spending the money to pick it up.
Unless of course you are not a fan of World of Warcraft, then I guess I can understand.
