“Law enforcement officers are never “off duty.” They are dedicated public servants who are sworn to protect public safety at any time and place that the peace is threatened. They need all the help that they can get.”
– Barbara Boxer

The 2nd Annual Police Chiefs Gala for the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association is this coming Thurs, Feb 24th, 2011 at The Northland Inn in Minneapolis.

This annual event is designed to help create awareness of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association and the causes they support. This year’s goal is to raise at least $15,000 for ethics-based leadership training for Minnesota law enforcement agencies; college scholarships for up-and-coming law enforcement students; a statewide 8th grade essay contest to encourage thoughtful solutions from young teens about issues such as bullying and internet cruelty; and charitable casino online causes in our Minnesota communities including Special Olympics Minnesota.

The evening will begin with a wonderful silent auction including a condo for one week in beautiful Playa de Coco, Costa Rica; a Gopher Football package; and a set of custom made cedar adirondack chairs; plus so much more! There will be complimentary photos at our photo booth and music provided by Reuben Ristrom. Be sure to get there early because the silent auction ends at 7pm. A delicious, all-inclusive dinner will be preceded by a warm welcome by special guests from KSTP Twin Cities Live. Special guests and keynote speakers will address the event with words of inspiration, wisdom and motivation. Stick around for the live auction as well!
