An Evening At Meredee’s Bistro For Fine Dining

It is always so satisfying to find an excellent place for fine dining in one’s own hometown area. The other evening my friend Don and I enjoyed our second visit to Meredee’s Bistro in as many weeks. Most of the tables were occupied with satisfied diners when we arrived
but after being greeted at the door by a gracious hostess, we were seated at a cozy table in a somewhat European room. The fire place was lit, and the beautiful Christmas tree that stood in the dining area provided a festive atmosphere. The many tiny white lights on the tree reminded me of stars twinkling in the evening sky. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me to capture that pretty Christmas tree. From now on, the camera has to follow me so I can totally share sights with you, the reader.
The menu selection featured many choices and we choose to share the Mediterranean pasta which has the most delicious seasoning, olives, spinach and other colorful ingredients in it. We also had some of their exceptional salad bar, with a multitude of choices. If one is not real hungry, the salad bar alone with some delicious bread and a beverage would be an excellent light me
al. The portions of the main dish are plentiful and the need for a take home box always provides another tasty meal.
Our waitress was a cheerful young lady who engaged with us in humorous conversation. My friend, Don, likes to joke with people and make others laugh, which I think always makes others feel the warmth and friendship. All of the help was accommodating to the needs of their customers. Our first visit to the Bistro , a week or two ago, he was joking with the waitress about our first date there and told her he was going to marry me and asked her, jokingly, if she would sing at our wedding. That brought a chuckle to her pretty face and she was telling others about her encounter with the cute couple who ate there that night. I am glad to have found somebody to share my life with who brings the gift of laughter and light-heartedness to an anxious world. Anyway, he gave me a ring today, and our wonderful journey of sharing life together is beginning. As young at heart seniors, like us, that is an especially exciting
